Volunteer: Help CFPA at Plant Science Day!August 5th is the 116th Plant Science day at the Connecticut Agricultural Experiment Station! CFPA will have a table and we need extra hands chatting to all the visitors. This will mostly include talking about forests, our education programs, and answering other general questions about CFPA. If you love talking about the forests, trails, or CFPA, this is the program for you! Beth or Julia will be there the entire time, so we can help you find your feet. Shifts will be 2-3 hours, and we will reach out with parking details before the 5th. Volunteer: Education VolunteerCFPA offers a variety of educational programs focused on forest stewardship, wildlife, conservation, recreation, and environmental literacy. Our mission is to connect people with the outdoors, exploring Connecticut's forests and parks, while fostering a deeper understanding of our natural world and inspiring the next generation of environmental leaders. We’re seeking passionate volunteers who enjoy working with people of all ages in nature to help us with outreach and programming. Volunteers are needed statewide to support school groups, community youth organizations, and adult learning programs like the Master Woodland Manager and Master Naturalist programs. No prior knowledge or experience is required—while it’s a plus, we provide the training you need. Our Environmental Education Volunteer Orientation is offered twice a year to ensure you feel confident and ready to engage with our diverse audiences. Join us and make a lasting impact on your community and the environment!
