Volunteer: Learn to Build CFPA's Bridge Abutment Gabions (6/30)

Join CFPA for a work party to build the Gabion Baskets that will be filled with stone and used as the board walk piers at Giuffrida Park.  This will require bending and cutting heavy gauge wire. 

All tools provided. All skills welcome. Come prepared to get dirty and have fun. We will be working either in or just outside of the CFPA Workshop. There will be the option of using the fridge in the CFPA Community room. There will be a lunch break around 12 noon

Alex, CFPA's Trails Stewardship Coordinator, will meet you at CFPA Headquarters Workshop at 9:00 am. Directions to parking are here: Google Maps Link.

Please bring water (even more than you think you'll need), snacks, bug spray, sunblock, lunch, work gloves, and Safety Glasses Be sure to wear long pants & closed-toe shoes, long sleeves are recommended.

Any PPE not brought can be provided

Teralyn and the team are looking for some help with day-to-day office work. Ideally someone who is flexible and can come one a week. You can choose your own day and time. We could also use someone available for pop up help. Tasks may include filing, painting trail signs, organizing and helping with mailings. Please message us directly: tlachance@ctwoodlands.org
