Who We Are
CFPA Ambassadors are a group of outgoing, self-motivated, organized volunteers who want to spread the word about CFPA. They are always ready to chat with new people about CFPA's programs and volunteer opportunities.
What We Do
The number one job of a Connecticut Forest & Park Association (CFPA) ambassador is to get out on the trails and tell people about CFPA!
It’s shocking how few people know that CFPA and its volunteers are responsible for the maintenance of all 825 miles of Blue-Blazed Hiking Trails in Connecticut.
Have you ever run into someone who thought the blue trails were maintained by the state? Or didn’t really think about the maintenance at all?
Your fellow volunteers put thousands of hours of work every year into maintaining, improving, and growing the Blue Trails Network. None of this would be possible without equipment, supplies, or safety training, all of which are provided by donations and grants.
To keep CFPA growing, we need to grow our community. Ambassadors will head out and meet our community where they are—out hiking the trails!
