Are you up to record issues on the New England National Scenic Trail? NET partners are rolling out a new monitoring app and we need volunteers to start helping us collect data! Please join us for the last training session of the year on the app features, NET specific instructions, and general app practice.
The monitoring will use an app called RIMS (Recreation Impact Monitoring System), which was developed by the Colorado Mountain Club and has been used all over the nation. The app will help our trail managers keep track of developing and frequent issues and understand what their sections of trail need as well as help CFPA, AMC, and the NPS plan management and funding! You can find out more about the app here. The CFPA introductory training will include all the information in the RIMS training video.
We will meet in the CFPA Meeting Room at 10AM Friday the 22nd. Please dress to spend some time outside practicing with the app.
