Join CFPA, DEEP, New England Mt Bike Association (NEMBA) for a half-day of trail improvements in the Nepaug State Forest. The goal of this workparty is to close the section of old forest road that served as the Blue/Green Trail until it was it was recently rerouted to a more sustainable design. All skills welcome. Come prepared to get dirty and have fun. At times there may be uneven and steep terrain. There is a hike into the worksite.
Please bring LOTS of water, snacks, bug spray, sun block, lunch, rain gear, work gloves, backpack to carry your gear, and any personal items you need to spend a few hours in the woods. Please be sure to wear long pants & sturdy closed-toe shoes. There is always the risk of poison ivy and ticks. No pets please.
We will meet at 9:00am at the Blue/Green trailhead parking area on Ramp Rd. Directions to DEEP Road are here: Google Directions Link
From here you will continue 1 mile on a Dirt Road until you get to a Kiosk at 41.843163, -72.953301.
