Who We Are

Join our team of Environmental Education volunteers and help inspire learning across Connecticut! We welcome volunteers of all backgrounds—whether you're multi-lingual, interested in working with specific age groups or abilities, or have a unique skill set to bring to the table. No traditional environmental experience? No problem!

To get started, simply attend our fun and informative Education Orientation, held twice a year. Afterward, you'll receive an email to complete a background check and if possible, we encourage having a current First Aid and CPR certification. Once you're all set, our Education Director will keep you in the loop about exciting upcoming opportunities. After each event, you can log your volunteer hours right here on our platform. We can't wait to have you on board!

What We Do

The Connecticut Forest & Park Association (CFPA) is dedicated to protecting Connecticut’s forests, parks, open spaces, and trails, and a key part of our mission is through education. We partner with teachers, schools, and community groups across the state to bring environmental learning to life. CFPA offers a wide range of educational programs, including year-long courses for Woodland Managers and Master Naturalists, as well as programs for youth, familities, and community groups. To keep up with the demand and ensure the success of these programs, we’re always looking for passionate volunteers to lend a hand and help us bring these valuable experiences to life!
