Join CFPA for a work party to Build MORE Gabions that will be filled with stone and used as bridge Abutments!
We will finish building the Gabions for the Ragged Mountain Preserve Bridges. There will be a follow Up Work Party filling these Gabions at Ragged Mountain Preserve in mid September so keep an eye out for that.
We will also build a new style of Gabion that will be used for an upcoming bridge project on the Housatonic Ridge Trail. There will be a follow Up Work Party filling these Gabions in New Milford in late August so keep an eye out for that.
This will require bending and cutting heavy gauge wire. All tools provided. All skills welcome. Come prepared to get dirty and have fun. We will be working either in or just outside of the CFPA Workshop. There will be the option of using the fridge in the CFPA Community room. There will be a lunch break around 12 noon

Please bring water (even more than you think you'll need), snacks, bug spray, sunblock, lunch, work gloves, and Safety Glasses Be sure to wear long pants & closed-toe shoes, long sleeves are recommended.
Any PPE not brought can be provided
