Join us for an introductory training to learn about our CFPA Rock Stars program!
This will be a hands-on training for volunteers interested in joining with our rock crew and working with the group on a regular basis (second Thursday & Friday of every month). The training, limited to 5 participants, will cover an introduction to tools, rigging equipment, basic rock wrapping, how we use rock in trail work, and the Rock Stars program in general.
The following Thursday & Friday (Aug 12/13), we will have a 2-day Rock Stars work project that we will also encourage you to attend to put your new skills immediately to use!
Please plan to wear closed toe shoes and long pants and bring water, snacks, work gloves, bug spray and whatever else you might need to spend some time in the woods.
If you can't make this training, don't worry, we will be scheduling other work parties and trainings this Fall.
