Join CFPA to work on the South Tunxis Trail relocation near Compounce Mountain. The primary work will include clearing trail corridor and digging trail tread. All tools provided. All skills welcome. Come prepared to get dirty and have fun. At times there may be uneven and steep terrain.
Lydia the CFPA Assistant Trails Coordinator will meet you at the parking area and take you to where the project work will begin. This will be around a 1 mile walk in while carrying tools on unblazed wood roads.
Please bring LOTS of water, snacks, bug spray, sun block, lunch, rain gear, work gloves, backpack to carry your gear, and any personal items you need to spend a few hours in the woods. Please be sure to wear long pants & sturdy closed-toe shoes. There is always the risk of poison ivy and ticks. No pets please.
We will meet at 9:00am at the gate at the end of Beecher Rd. Directions to parking are here: Google Directions Link
Thanks for your support of CFPA and the Blue-Blazed Hiking Trails!
