Join CFPA and a CWCC Trail crew to help with the building over 300 feet of elevated bog bridge and a minor Relocation on the Menunkatuck trail! The primary work will include moving lumber to the project site. Other optional task may include clearing trail or for the extra ambitious pounding in 4x4 posts. All tools provided. All skills welcome. Come prepared to get dirty and have fun. At times there may be uneven and steep terrain.
Alex, CFPA's Trails Stewardship Coordinator or Lydia , CFPA's Assistant Trails Coordinator will meet you at the Leatherman road and walk you to the project. There is space for on road parking but please ensure the road stays clear.
Please bring LOTS of water, snacks, bug spray, sun block, lunch, rain gear, work gloves, backpack to carry your gear, and any personal items you need to spend a few hours in the woods. Crew will be taking a lunch from 12:00-12:30pm. Please be sure to wear long pants & sturdy closed-toe shoes. There is always the risk of poison ivy and ticks. No pets please.
