Join CFPA and the CWCC Trail crews to help with the building of a bridge in Kettletown State Park! The primary work will include moving lumber to the project site. CFPA has partnered with FirstLight Power to move the lumber and volunteers most of the way to the bridge site via boat. The lumber will be hauled an additional 1/3 of a mile across mixed terrain. All tools provided. All skills welcome. Come prepared to get dirty, wet and have fun. At times there may be uneven and steep terrain.
Please bring LOTS of water, snacks, bug spray, sun block, lunch, rain gear, work gloves, backpack to carry your gear, and any personal items you need to spend a few hours in the woods. Crew will be taking a lunch from 12:00-12:30pm. Please be sure to wear long pants & sturdy closed-toe shoes. There is always the risk of poison ivy and ticks. No pets please.
We will meet at 8:30am at the Jackson Cove Town Park boat ramp. Directions to parking are here: Google Directions Link
