Join CFPA for a work party relocating a section of the Blue/White trail on the Tunxis trail system! The primary work will include clearing trail corridor and trail tread. All tools provided. All skills welcome. Come prepared to get dirty and have fun. We will be working in uneven, rocky and steep terrain, and may be hiking about a mile over the course of the work party.
Julia Sonen will meet you on Mountain Top Pass Rd at 9:00 am. Directions to parking are here: Google Directions Link. Parking will be along the street, so please be respectful of residents.
Please bring LOTS of water, snacks, sunblock, lunch, rain gear, work gloves, backpack to carry your gear, and any personal items you need to spend a few hours in the woods. Be sure to wear long pants & sturdy closed-toe shoes, long sleeves are recommended. There is always the risk of poison ivy and ticks. No pets please.
